      Art Show

V
isitors to the art center during the Scandinavian Festival will also be able to enjoy an exhibit of works by Salt Lake City artist Madison Smith.
The display will feature works that combine historical pictures from Smith’s family and ancestors with scientific computation, hard-edged geometric shapes, decorative patterning and children’s drawings in an examination of his relationship to history, the universe and his very existence.

The name of the exhibit is “Our Coded Tendencies,” and will show at the Central Utah Art Center beginning with an open house and reception from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 23. The art center will be open the Saturday of the festival from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The exhibit will run until June 25.
