World & Contemporary Booths |
The Old World Crafts booths are always an exciting part of the Scandinavian festival, and this year many “authentic Scandinavian products” will be offered. From dolls to dishcloths, there will be something that’s sure to attract every festival-goers’ attention. T-shirts with Scandinavian and modern designs, along with flags of Scandinavian countries can be purchased for those who are true dedicatees of the Scandinavian Festival.
Blacksmithing, pottery making, quilting and rosemaling are all activities scheduled for demonstrations Friday, from noon until dusk, and Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Rosmaling is a Norwegian decorative painting or carving done on wood or furniture. These demonstrations will take place in Ephraim Square, between the Ephraim Co-op and the Central Utah Art Center on Main Street.
Also included will be jewelry (Scandinavian and modern), photography and watercolors as well as children’s booths.
Senior Center
Build an original Mouse Pad using Tee Shirt Transfer paper. These are so much fun and become family keepsakes. Scan a favorite photo, create your own art or words and then iron onto Mouse Pads we have at the Senior Center. This will become a family favorite at your gatherings.
Create an authentic baby quilt - also using Tee Shirt Transfer paper - ironing onto fabric and then performing the age old method of tying an awesome baby quilt.
Ride around Pioneer Park in a mock covered wagon fashioned by the City Public Works crew, Carolyn Tidwell and Larry Nielson. If you can get in and out you can ride.
Participate in Bingo in the Senior Center with card fees becoming a donation to the Center and with awesome prizes donated by local merchants and/or hand crafted by local seniors.
